Has a massive drone bay, but what makes a carrier so special is it uses special type of drones that only carriers can have, called "Fighters" most carriers can only hold 6-8 fighters, but fighters are very powerful and they come in different classes, such as Anti-Missle fighter, Webbing Fighter, Assualt Fighter(Heavy Hitter), Interceptor Fighter(Very Fast), another one maybe a warp jamming fighter(but 8 of these could spell trouble).
Gate Sieging- Was thinking maybe the main gates to each region in .0 can be locked down by the controler of all the stations in that region. The only way to unlock these gates is to seige em like a station, but it wont take nearly as long maybe only 2-5 million shiels compared to a stations 40 mil shields this isnt so bad. Once a gate is captured it does not resume lock until the controler of the 3 stations comes and takes it back. If 1 of the stations in the region is under another factions control than none of the gates can be locked.
Stealth Plating- a type of plating that lowers the signature radius on your ship. Fits in medium slot. Draw back is it lowers the armor on your ship as well.
Crews- One thing i notices is u fly these big ships with no crews. What each ship should have is a crew slot. Depending on the crew you have gives you different stuff, such as an Engineering Crew increase ship shield recharge and armor repair rate or cap recharge(make up your mind). Tatical Crew increases damage of ship. Sensor Crew is electronical warfare and so on....i'm sure you can think of some yourself.
With crews in mind u can make crews by purchasing pilots on the market and have training facilities put in stations around eve. These training facilities allow u to turn pilots into certain crews and so on. Also training facilities can produce troops which i will go into detail below.
Planet Capturing- Every system has 1 settled planet. When you produce troops you can invade planets and planet in return will give you special resources( i'm thinking minerals and maybe trade goods) The resources will appear at a Docking Ring that you setup like POS at the planet or maybe just make it standard for all habited planet. You can just pickup the resources from the Docking Ring like the Corporate Hangar Array with POS.
Planet Defending- You defend your planet by putting troops on it and a certain number of troops will beat another certain other. Maybe have a calculator that gives a smaller force a lesser chance to win and so on. Planet battles will take many days depending on the size of both forces. Example: 1st Battle Invaders:1000 soldier Defenders:800 soldiers
Chance to loose men: Attackers:20%(because they have 200 more men) Defenders:-10%(Homefield Advantage) 20%(Out numbered by 20%) 10%(Attackers attack first)
Something like that. I'm not good with working up a system of that sort. And every hour a new fight like this happens and updates until one side is out of men.
